Quick and Easy Turkey Chili

This turkey chili is so easy and is sure to warm any chili lover's heart.
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • ½ lg. onion - diced
  • 1 14½ oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg. chili seasoning mix (I prefer McCormick)
  • 1 16 oz. can pinto or kidney beans (optional)
  • 2 cups water
Instructions
  1. Brown turkey in large skillet on medium high heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Put meat into a medium size pot.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients to pot and cook on Medium heat for about 15 minutes (making sure onions get cooked).
  4. Reduce to low heat and allow chili to simmer for at least another 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Notes
You can cook this chili in less time, but I like for it to simmer for a bit to enhance the flavor. If you like a little more salty taste, add Sea Salt to taste.
