A sugar-free, one dish drink and snack. This recipe makes apple cider and apple sauce in the same crockpot.
Ingredients
  • 5 green apples
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup honey
  • 10 stevia packets
  • 10 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 5 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Water
Instructions
  1. Peel the apples (unless you don't mind removing the loose skin later).
  2. Chop apples.
  3. Combine all dry ingredients in the crockpot.
  4. Fill crockpot with water.
  5. Cook on high for 5 hours.
  6. Leave apple cider in crockpot and place remaining apples and cinnamon sticks in a bowl.
  7. Throw out the cinnamon sticks.
  8. Mash apples and drain as much juice back into the cider.
  9. Let the apple sauce cool in the fridge.
  10. Enjoy your sugar-free apple cider and apple sauce!
Notes
This makes about 1⅓ cups of apple sauce and 5 cups of apple cider. On days I am craving apple cider, but don't want to make a big batch, I use only 1 apple.
